Thomas Raniszewski - Biography

Thomas Raniszewski - Biography

After earning a Bachelor of Arts in music from Rowan University (formerly Galssboro State College) in 1991, Thomas Raniszewski spent the next 13 years raising his son while owning and operating an Inn in Cape May, New Jersey.

His debut album A Midnight at a Time, produced by George Mesterhazy, was nominated Outstanding New Recording at the 2004 Outmusic Awards. “Dreams of the Summertime,” one of the album’s 6 instrumental pieces, was the winner of the 2004 StonewallSociety Pride in the Arts Award. The following year, the album’s Christmas track “Through a Child’s Eyes” was released as a single in partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and raises considerable funds and awareness for the hospital.

Raniszewski finds inspiration for his instrumental work in the New Jersey shore resort community in which he lives. His works “Toward the Dawn” and piano solo “Goodnight Summer” evoke the solitude and peace he often finds at the water’s edge.

In 2010, Raniszewski returned to the studio to co-produce the album I Hear on the Streets, a compilation of new and existing songs by various artists to benefit New Alternatives for LGBT Homeless Youth in New York City. 4 of the album’s 11 tracks were original songs composed by Raniszewski for the project.

The music of Thomas Raniszewski is available for purchase or download on iTunes and CDbaby.com.
